Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital

Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday morning due to abdominal discomfort. However, the hospital assured that there are no major concerns regarding her condition. She is currently stable and under the observation of medical staff. Reports suggest that while she was experiencing stomach-related issues, doctors have found no cause for alarm, and she is expected to be discharged later today.

Dr. Samiran Nundy, a specialist in gastroenterology, is overseeing Sonia Gandhi’s treatment.

At 78 years old, Sonia Gandhi, the former president of the Congress party, marked her birthday in December. Her most recent public appearance was on February 13, when she attended the Rajya Sabha during the Budget session.

On February 10, she urged the government to expedite the completion of the population census, pointing out that around 14 crore people are missing out on benefits from the food security law. In her first Zero Hour speech in the Rajya Sabha, Sonia Gandhi highlighted that the National Food Security Act (NFSA) was based on the 2011 Census, and she called for the use of the most current population data to better identify those in need.

Despite her health challenges, Sonia Gandhi remains actively engaged in her political responsibilities, continuing to make significant contributions to the Congress party through her public statements and involvement in key policy discussions.
