Akash Anand Gives Police 24-Hour Ultimatum Over Threat to Mayawati’s Life

Political tensions in Uttar Pradesh escalated following a controversial statement by Congress leader and former MP Dr. Udit Raj. BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party) leaders accused Dr. Udit Raj of threatening to kill former Chief Minister Mayawati, prompting BSP chief Mayawati’s nephew, Akash Anand, to demand action from the Uttar Pradesh police.

In a post on social media, Akash Anand slammed Dr. Udit Raj, stating, “Dr. Udit Raj gave a statement in Lucknow using Kanshiram Sahib’s name, while he has a history of switching parties for his own selfish reasons. He is not concerned with the Bahujan movement but only with furthering his political career.”

Akash Anand continued, “The kind of threats Dr. Udit Raj is making, we, the millions of soldiers of the Bahujan mission, will not tolerate it under any circumstances.” He further accused Dr. Udit Raj of making a statement about threatening Mayawati, who has been a strong advocate for social justice and the empowerment of Dalits.

Akash Anand also issued an ultimatum to the Uttar Pradesh police, demanding the arrest of Dr. Udit Raj within 24 hours. He stated, “I want to make it clear to the UP Police that they must arrest these criminals within 24 hours and take strict legal action. If this is not done, the youth of the Bahujan community will not stay silent, and I know how to teach them a lesson.”

What led to this controversy was a recent statement made by Dr. Udit Raj during a press conference in Lucknow. Dr. Raj, who had served as a BJP MP for North West Delhi from 2014 to 2019, had made remarks comparing Lord Krishna’s teachings with the current political situation, suggesting that social justice opponents, specifically Mayawati, should be “eliminated.”

Dr. Raj had said, “Krishna’s teachings tell us to fight for justice and, when necessary, eliminate those who oppose it. The time has come to silence Mayawati, who has stifled the social movement.”

This remark sparked outrage and controversy, with BSP leaders demanding strong action from the authorities.
