Awarapan Re-Release: Bollywood has recently seen a surge in the re-release of old films. From Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Bareilly Ki Barfi to Sanam Teri Kasam, several past “flop” films have made a strong comeback at the box office, with Sanam Teri Kasam surpassing its original lifetime collection in just a few days.

Amidst this trend, there are growing speculations about the return of Emraan Hashmi’s beloved films, Jannat (2008) and Awarapan (2007). To fuel the excitement, Hashmi recently shared an animated teaser that has fans wondering if Awarapan 2 is set to hit theaters soon.

Emraan Hashmi Hints at Awarapan 2

On Friday, Emraan Hashmi posted an animated clip on Instagram, featuring his iconic character from Awarapan. In the teaser, his character stands with a pigeon in a cage, gazing at the city skyline bathed in sunset light. His voiceover plays in the background, saying, “I have come close to death. Dying for someone else’s life is my life.” As the melancholic notes of To Phir Aao play, the teaser reveals him holding a blood-stained gun. Hashmi captioned the post simply with: “Jumma Mubarak.”
