Blake Ellender Lively, born on August 25, 1987, in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California, is an American actress known for her diverse roles in film and television. She is the daughter of actor Ernie Lively and talent scout Elaine Lively, and grew up surrounded by the entertainment industry. Lively made her acting debut at age 10 in the film Sandman (1998), directed by her father. Initially not keen on acting, she pursued other interests, including attending Stanford University, but eventually found her calling in Hollywood.

Lively rose to fame with her role as Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl (2007–2012), which solidified her status as a leading actress. She also gained recognition for her roles in films like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), The Town (2010), Savages (2012), and The Shallows (2016). Her career expanded to directing with Taylor Swift’s music video I Bet You Think About Me (2021) and producing It Ends With Us (2024), where she starred opposite Justin Baldoni.
