The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Class 12 Physics board exam today, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Before starting, students will be given a 15-minute reading time to go through the question paper. The exam will consist of five sections—A, B, C, D, and E—with a total of 33 questions, and all must be attempted by the students.

The CBSE Class 12 board exams began on February 15, and several subjects have already been held, including Entrepreneurship, Physical Education, Hindustani Music (Vocal and Instrumental), Automotive, Healthcare, Data Science, Electronics, Food Production, Office Procedures, Design, Early Childhood Care, and Typography & Computer Applications.

For the Physics exam, students are required to carry their CBSE Class 12 admit card and school ID to the exam centre. The admit cards were issued on February 3.

Once the exam is over, an analysis of the CBSE Class 12 Physics paper will be available.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Exam Marking Scheme:

The exam is structured with specific sections, each with its own set of questions and marking scheme:

  • Section A: This section contains 16 questions, including 12 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 4 assertion-reasoning questions, each worth 1 mark (Total: 16 marks).
  • Section B: Comprising 5 questions, each carrying 2 marks (Total: 10 marks).
  • Section C: This section has 7 questions, each worth 3 marks (Total: 21 marks).
  • Section D: Consists of 2 case-study-based questions, each carrying 4 marks (Total: 8 marks).
  • Section E: Contains 3 long-answer questions, each worth 5 marks (Total: 15 marks).

The total marks for the Physics exam are 70.
