Krrish 4: There has been ongoing buzz around Krrish 4, starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role and directed by Rakesh Roshan. The film has been the subject of conversation for years, but due to delays in production, things have been moving at a slower pace. Recent speculations suggested that the film might face another setback due to its massive budget of Rs. 700 crore, which could make it difficult for studios to get involved. However, the latest reports indicate that these claims may not be entirely accurate.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, industry sources have mentioned that while Krrish 4 requires a hefty budget, no studio was initially willing to invest such a large amount due to the associated risks. Hrithik, in the beginning, had entrusted his close friend Siddharth Anand with the responsibility of partnering on the production, as Anand was already working on some projects. However, after the success of Marvel films, studios became more hesitant to take on a project of such magnitude.
Why the Delay in Krrish 4?
It has now been revealed that Siddharth Anand and his production company, Ma Flix Films, along with director Karan Malhotra, have distanced themselves from the project. Hrithik and his father, Rakesh Roshan, are now engaging with studios across India to finalize a new deal to ensure that Krrish 4 progresses into the right hands. A new team will likely begin work on the budget and script before production resumes.
Key Exits from the Project
In the meantime, Movie Tokies reported that the Rs. 700 crore budget may not be a necessary figure for the film after all. This confirms that both Siddharth Anand and Karan Malhotra have stepped away from the project.
Update Expected Soon
Earlier, Rakesh Roshan spoke about Krrish 4, confirming in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that he had officially retired from directing and would not be making any more films. He assured fans that Krrish 4 is still very much in the works and that an official announcement would be made soon.
