Oppo has unveiled the Oppo Find N5, claiming it as the world’s thinnest foldable phone. With a thickness of just 8.93mm when closed, the Find N5 surpasses the previous record-holder, the Honor Magic V3, which was the thinnest phone of 2024. At 8.93mm, it is only slightly thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro, which measures 8.3mm. When unfolded, the Find N5 becomes even slimmer at 4.21mm at its thinnest point. However, it’s worth noting that Oppo is measuring the thickness when the device is closed. If the measurement were taken while open, the Huawei Mate XT triple-foldable phone, also launched this week, would take the crown with a 3.6mm thickness when unfolded.

The Oppo Find N5 had its global launch on Thursday, with expectations for its release across European and Asian markets. However, Oppo has yet to bring its Find N-series foldables to India, and it remains uncertain whether the Find N5 will be available there this year. That said, there’s a small chance it could launch in India, especially with OnePlus deciding not to release the Open 2 this year, which is essentially the global version of Oppo’s Find N-series foldables. The device was launched at SGD 2,499 in Singapore, which is roughly equivalent to Rs 1,62,000.
