Pamela Bach (born Pamela Weissenbach; October 16, 1963 – March 5, 2025), also known as Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, was an American actress.
Early Life
Pamela was from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the second of three daughters. Her mother was a model, and Pamela also modeled during her teenage years. She attended Tulsa East Central High School and studied Engineering/Theatre Arts at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. She moved to Los Angeles in 1985 to pursue her career.
Career
Pamela worked alongside her husband on the long-running TV series Baywatch and also had a recurring role as a psychologist in the series Sirens. In August 2011, she participated as a housemate on the eighth season of Celebrity Big Brother in the United Kingdom. She was evicted on Day 14, finishing in ninth place.
Personal Life and Death
Pamela met David Hasselhoff on the set of the Knight Rider episode “Knight Racer” in 1985. They married in December 1989 and had two daughters: Taylor Ann Hasselhoff, born May 5, 1990, who attended the University of Arizona and was featured in the 2015 season of Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, and Hayley Hasselhoff, born August 26, 1992. In January 2006, David announced he was filing for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Their divorce was finalized in August 2006. Pamela was granted custody of one daughter and David the other.
Both appeared on the CBS daytime soap The Young and the Restless, although not at the same time: Pamela as Mari Jo Mason #1 in 1994 and David as Dr. Snapper Foster #2 between 1975 and 1982.
Pamela was found dead of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her home on March 5, 2025. Her death was ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
