Saurav Gurjar

Saurav Gurjar, born on 26th September 1985 in Dabra, Madhya Pradesh, is an Indian professional wrestler and actor. Before entering the wrestling world, he earned recognition as a National Kickboxing Gold Medalist, marking the beginning of his athletic career.

Professional Wrestling Career

Ring Ka King (2011–2012) Gurjar made his wrestling debut in December 2011, participating in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s India project Ring Ka King. Under the ring name Deadly Danda, he joined the heel stable RDX, led by Jeff Jarrett, alongside other notable wrestlers like Abyss, Scott Steiner, Nick Aldis, and Sonjay Dutt.

WWE (2018–2024) In January 2018, Gurjar signed a contract with WWE, where he performed under the ring name Sanga. His first televised appearance was as a participant in the Worlds Collide men’s battle. In March 2020, he, alongside Rinku Singh, attacked Matt Riddle on NXT, with their manager Malcolm Bivens introducing them as Indus Sher. However, the duo stopped appearing on television in June 2020.

On the 18th January 2022 episode of NXT, Gurjar was repackaged under the name Sanga and became the bodyguard of Grayson Waller. However, Sanga was eventually fired by Waller in April 2022, and later lost to him in a singles match. By October 2022, Sanga reformed Indus Sher with Rinku Singh (now known as Veer Mahaan), and they were eventually drafted to the Raw brand in the 2023 WWE Draft.

Sanga made his Raw debut on May 15, 2023, in a tag team match alongside Veer, defeating local talents Drake Thompson and Lavar Barbie. In March 2024, he participated in a qualifier for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship ladder match at WrestleMania XL, but was defeated by the Awesome Truth. His final match was in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 5, 2024, where he was eliminated by the Creed Brothers. Sanga was released from WWE in April 2024.

Acting Career In 2013, Gurjar transitioned into acting, debuting in the television series Mahabharat, where he portrayed the character Bhima. The show aired on Star Plus from 2013 to 2014. Following this, he appeared in Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman as Ravan and Bali between 2016 and 2017.

Saurav Gurjar made his film debut in 2022 with Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva, where he played the role of Zor.
