UP Board Exams 2025 Postponed: New Dates Announced

UP Board 10th-12th Exams 2025 Postponed: New Dates Announced

UP Board Exam 2025 Postponed: Students preparing for the UP Board 10th and 12th exams in 2025 have received a significant update. The exams scheduled for February 24th, 2025, for both 10th (High School) and 12th (Intermediate) students in Prayagraj have been postponed. This decision was announced by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Minister, Gulab Devi, through an official notice. A new exam date has also been revealed.

The exams, which were originally planned to be held in two shifts on February 24th— from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM—would have included subjects like Hindi (for 10th grade), Healthcare, Military Science, and General Hindi (for 12th grade). These exams have now been rescheduled.

Why Were the UP Board Exams Postponed in Prayagraj?

The postponement of the exams is a result of the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, which has attracted over 540 million devotees to the region. Due to the large influx of pilgrims, severe traffic jams have become a major issue in the city, causing concerns for students about reaching their exam centers on time. This situation posed challenges for the smooth conduct of exams, leading the authorities to delay them.

When Will the Exams Take Place?

In an official notice issued by Ashok Kumar, the Joint Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s Secondary Education Department, it was confirmed that the exams will now be held on March 9, 2025. The timing of the exams will remain unchanged, and they will proceed in the same two shifts as originally scheduled.

This rescheduling provides relief to students, ensuring that they can now take their exams without the added stress of traffic disruptions during the Mahakumbh.
